Fury lifts past a stubborn Wardawgs team

The Fury lifts pass a stubborn Waterford team by the score 20-8.  

The Fury started the scoring in the first with a good drive down the field and topped it off with a short run by the Fury's leading rusher Shamonte Neal.  The 2-point conversion was unsuccessful and the Fury lead 6-0.  

In the second the Wardawgs came back to even the score with a nice drive of their own to tie the game 6-6.  The Wardawgs added a safety because of poor field position by the Fury with a block punt of the Fury in the endzone to take the lead 8-6.

The Fury took charge in the 2nd half shutting  the Wardawgs down and scoring 2 more times with a pass from back-up qb Darrell Richardson to Wide out Chrishaun Verdun for the first score and with a tough run by running back Trevor Funseth to end the scoring and a 20-8 victory to increase the Fury's overall record to 3-1.

Next Game: The Fury will travel to Detroit to take on the defending champion Ravens this Saturday 6-17-17.

Fury Runs Through Cedar Springs to go 1-0 in league play

This Saturday at home vs the Waterford Wardawgs

The Eagles was totally out matched this Saturday with the Fury scoring 62 points in a landslide victory. Sixty-two points is the most points the Fury has scored in franchise history.

The Fury started the scoring by driving easily down the field  and capping it off with a 20 yd run by Fury slot receiver Lee Evans.  The 2 point was caught by Jalen Esters  to make the score 8-0.

The scoring kept coming as the defense added a pic six by Chrishaun Verdun of 20 yds.

The Eagles couldn't manage to get any momentum all game as the Fury controlled the game and ended up with the final score 62-0.

Fury evens record to 1-1 with win over the Coyotes

Fourth quarter comeback for the Fury

The Fury evens its record to 1-1 with a come from behind victory against the Midwest Coyotes 34-24.

The Fury fell behind 18-6 at halftime to win.  The Coyotes took advantage of a few first year players and bad play of the Fury to go up at half 18-6.  

The second half the Fury put things together with 10-14 passing from Fury rookie Angelo Manzo and the rushing of Shamonte Neal the Fury lead a serious charge to come back to win 34-24.  The final score came with seconds on the clock with a desperate pass to score from the Coyotes and was intercepted by Jaquise Holcom and took in for the final score.


Great Lakes Football League play begins on June 3rd as the Fury will travel to Cedar Springs to take on the Eagles.
